THAI YOGA MASSAGE WORKSHOP FOR TANGUERAS AND TANGUEROS

Teacher: Natalija Domjanović, Master of Medical Biochemistry, Phythoaromatherapist, Thai massage and Thai acupressure practitioner

About Thai massage:

Thai massage, Nuad Boran – which on Thai means ancient massage, its a traditional massage technics used for centuries in Thailand. It is, together with phytotherapy and spiritual and psychological healing, part of traditional Thai Medicine. Its founder is Jivaka Kumarbacha who was a Budas personal physician. Today on Thailand he has the status of a holy person. His statue is on the altar of every Thai massage center and school and practitioners start every treatment with a short prayer to Jivaka – asking to lead them during the treatment. And at the end of the treatment, they finish with short thanks-prayer for successful treatment.

It is done on the floor (on the mat) and the receiver has to be dressed in comfortable cotton clothes.

It is holistic massage since throughout working on whole-body energy lines all levels of existence are reached: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual/energy levels. During the treatment, which lasts at least 60 minutes, the therapist uses a different pressing, stretching and rocking techniques and puts the receiver in positions similar to yoga asanas.

Results of Thai massage treatment are deep relaxation, flexibility and calmness.

About the teacher:

(Kundalini Rising Institute of Yoga Awareness). Both Schools registered at the Yoga Alliance. Ivana offers a sustainable, safe and tailored approach to all participants. In her classes, Ivana trains participants to move in an organic way synchronising the breath with the movement and paying great attention to the correct body alignment. In particular, she enjoys teaching Kundalini Yoga because she finds it to be one of the most transformative yoga practices offered today in the yoga field. Kundalini Yoga, also known as the Yoga of Awareness, is open to everyone, for people of all ages, regardless of their previous yoga experience. This practice relies on ancient yoga technology, developing overall physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. It's a dynamic and powerful practice that will give you a unique experience of your Soul. On my yoga journey, I discovered an entirely new world, a world full of potential which enabled me to calm my mind, connect with my true Self and fill my Soul with joy.
MORE ABOUT ME
Even though my background is in Economics, I have always enjoyed reading and learning about eastern philosophies, spiritual teachings, and healthy lifestyle habits.
My first encounter with yoga practice was in 2007, in my hometown Rijeka. After the class, I felt so vibrant and dissimilar to any other physical activity or sport I had done before. I was keen to continue with the practice. In 2011 my Multinational Company where I used to work sent me on an assignment to London. Who would have thought I would dive deeper into the yoga ocean in one of the busiest cities in the world? Well, it was there that I met my Yoga teacher Mythili. She taught me the importance of self-love. I do not refer here to selfcentered love. Still, more to a healthy approach towards yourself when you acknowledge your qualities, have enough self-confidence, and believe that you deserve the best. While in London, I felt blessed to explore and practice different yoga styles led by renowned teachers. I participated in numerous classes and workshops of Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini Yoga, Iyengar, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Womb Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. After ten years of yoga practice, I felt a strong desire to share my yoga experience and assist people to feel happier and more fulfilled in the fast-paced society we live in today. I took a sabbatical leave and did yoga teacher training at Himalayan Yoga Institute and K.R.I.Y.A. (Kundalini Rising Institute of Yoga Awareness). Both Schools registered at the Yoga Alliance. In 2019 I decided to take a leap and follow my mission. I opened my own business, and everything else is history :-)
MORE ABOUT KUNDALINI YOGA
Kundalini yoga sets include breathing techniques, eye-focus, physical postures, body locks, hand gestures, and mantra chanting designed to activate and balance the endocrine system, strengthen the nervous system, expand the lung capacity and purify the blood. The range and variety of meditation techniques in Kundalini Yoga tradition are impressive and accessible to everyone. There are meditations helpful to reduce stress and anxiety, bring prosperity into your life, clear the fear-based subconscious programs, open the heart for giving and receiving love, increase creativity, build intuition, and many more.

Breathwork

The workshop will be divided into two parts. In the first part, we will discuss polarities especially those related to the theme of the festival. The second part will be a practical breathing exercise. In breathwork, you can expect extensive breathing sessions and various self-transformative methods. It is not suggested to people with significant health problems (heart or kidney issues, mental diseases, critical blood pressure, epilepsy...). The workshop aims to reach deep into relaxation and touch the subtle inner levels of personal existence. This challenging and demanding work could tell you more about yourself and lead you to a personal crisis or give you a fresh life – power. Therefore, we ask kindly all participants for discretion and support regarding others. Lead by: Hrvoje Gebavi

Contact Tango

ConTango - (Un)BOUND

workshop & JAMilonga

BE OPEN & LISTEN & ENJOY & SURPRISE

Tango gives you form, stability, rhythm, Contact Improvisation softens it with some impact of freedom, experiment, playfulness. They are two sides of the ContacTango.

Melting opposites like bound-unbound, male-female, connection-freedom, inside-outside, listening-responding, tension-release, leading-following, body-mind in the midst of the dance.

Dance is step to unknown.

It is simple, kind & fun.

Welcome to upgrade & revive your tango with some tools from contact improvisation, authentic movement practices and general inquiry. Practicing them helps us develop our capacity for good connectivity, softness, tenderness, attentive listening to yourself & your partner, openness for the new movement possibilities, playfulness of the dance, understanding of the subtle change of leading roles, questioning prejudices of your mind… Opening up new dimensions.

But! it needs some fierceness to let go of the security of the known movements and combinations in order to find freshness, fluidity, connection, authenticity, playfulness, enjoyment, aliveness, awakeness…
